Hi, I’m Jo McCan and welcome to The Lodge!
We’re a local, family run business providing relaxing pottery painting experiences for people of all backgrounds and abilities.
For me pottery painting is about more than just art, it’s about giving yourself the permission to switch off from the world and be creative, and it’s something that people of all ages and backgrounds can enjoy together.
The Lodge, nestled in the Tipperary countryside - just a few miles from one of Ireland’s most spectacular medieval sites, the Rock of Cashel - is the 170-year-old former gatehouse of the historic Ballyowen House.
The studio itself is an addition to the original building, built in the same spirit - with Douglas fir and stone from the farm for the floorboards and fireplace - but with large, bright windows, making it the perfect space for creativity and peaceful relaxation.
It’s been in the McCan family for 5 generations and is much loved, so we are delighted to be able to share it with you!
